In this video, we show you how to connect a to an electrical door lock. Version 1 shows a fail secure door lock with NO (normally open) relay. The lock is closed by default and opens once electricity flows. Version 2 shows a fail safe door lock with NC (normally closed) relay. In this variant, the door lock is closed by default but opens when the power drops.
