'The curtain has recently been raised on seven of our rotary wing folding arms, which our Swiss subsidiary SIMON PROtec Systems AG installed in the Vitznau Chamber Music Hall on Lake Lucerne.

Difficult projects always inspire us to create innovative solutions that fulfil the exact requirements of the respective building project. The great challenge with the chamber music hall in Vitznau was the unusual installation situation of our actuators. The doors for the stage curtain, which were specially developed for the music hall, were to be motorised with the help of a special construction to enable opening and closing and thus extend the stage curtain. The basic requirement for the actuators was not to impair the aesthetics and acoustics of the gold leaf-coated doors. This is where our rotary wing folding arm proved its worth with its great flexibility and attractive design. A further difficulty was the precise positioning of the drives, a problem that we could also successfully solve thanks to careful and intense planning.

The actuators are operated with a VENT control unit from SIMON PROtec, which receives ventilation commands from the on-site building management system and activates the drives when the curtain is to be extended.

The versatility of our premium folding arms has long been recognised, but with the reference project for the Chamber Music Hall in Vitznau, our drives are now entering the big stage!
