Environmental protection out of conviction

Based on the personal conviction of Mr. Weber, owner and managing director of the SIMON PROtec Group, SIMON PROtec has been reducing its footprint on nature and the environment since the late 1990s. This includes, among other things, resource-saving production, avoiding waste and foregoing non-degradable materials in packaging. Motion detectors and successive conversion to LED lighting support this goal. We provide a three-year manufacturer's warranty on our products and focus on repair and maintenance. All our actuators and the entire control technology have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). Also in future, we want to be a role model and constantly develop the green foundation of our company and continuously enhance investments in operational environmental protection.

100% Green electricity

Since 2009, SIMON PROtec has invested in its own photovoltaic systems and covers about 95% of its annual needs with solar power. The rest is supplemented by the purchase of renewable energy from hydropower. Therefore, all our products are developed and produced for you with 100% green electricity.

Environmentally friendly buildings engineering

We also focus on renewable energies in the building equipment. The climatization of the new building at our headquarters in Passau, which was completed in 2019, is based on air heat. We specifically decided to install a heat pump. This technology utilizes up to 80% energy from the environment, depending on the energy source from air, water or the earth.The electricity for the compressor of the air heat pump comes of course from our own photovoltaic system and is therefore climate neutral.

Society

SIMON PROtec is committed to and involved in the region of Lower Bavaria. We are a training company and support our employees with internal and external training measures. At Christmas, we regularly support the Deutscher Kinderschutzbund e.V. (German Child Protection League) and Sternstunden - Wir helfen Kindern (We help children), a charity campaign of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation. One of our largest suppliers is Caritas Werkstätten für Menschen mit Behinderung (Caritas Workplaces for people with disabilities), whose cooperation we value highly. Our commitment is to be a reliable partner for society, especially in our home region.
