Textile fire protection is an excellent alternative to conventional systems. Unlike classic fire doors, fire protection gates and fire protection windows, fire protection curtains blend discreetly into a stylistic overall concept without, however, restricting safety. Curtain systems are very space-saving when rolled up and do not require additional storage space of the same size (example sliding door) or protrude into the room (example swing doors). In everyday life, fire protection curtains are almost invisible due to their compact design, in case of fire they offer effective textile fire protection.
Fire protection curtains are easy to install. Depending on the curtain system a ceiling, wall or reveal installation is possible. The head box and the optional side guide rails are kept very slim, thus saving space, and can be integrated almost invisibly into the surrounding construction (e.g. drywall construction).
Fire protection curtains are classified in different levels according to the product standard DIN EN 16034. The European classes according to DIN EN 13501-2 are
E = Room closure EW = Room closure with reduced heat radiation EI = Room closure with insulating effect (closure fire-retardant, highly fire-retardant and fire-resistant)
SIMON PROtec offers a wide range of curtain systems made of textile glass fibre fabric, in particular also fire protection curtains with an EI classification up to 120 minutes. A fire-resistant application is thus guaranteed. Our fire protection curtains can be used indoors and outdoors due to the different types of fabric.
